Civil Service Commission

The Parma Civil Service Commission is a three-member board, appointed by the Parma mayor. Members serve for six-year terms. Commission meetings are open to the public and are generally held on the first and third Monday of the month at the Commission Office, now located on the lower level of City Hall.

Contact the Commission Office to confirm meeting dates. The Parma Civil Service Commission is responsible for administering the testing process for classified entry-level and promotional positions within the city of Parma and Parma City School District. The Commission prescribes, amends and enforces rules for the classification of positions within the civil service of the city and city schools.
