Donna Smallwood Activities Center

The Donna Smallwood Activities Center is a facility for older adults. Parma area residents who are age 55 years old and older are welcome to participate in the City of Parma’s array of programs, services, and activities.
The Activities Center provides the following:

Free Check-in Service from the State of Ohio
The Ohio Department of Aging created Staying Connected Check-in Service. Staying Connected provides a free daily check-in by phone for Ohioans 60 years old and older. This service provides comfort and can connect seniors with aging network information and support. It is easy to get started, visit Stay Connected.

Erin Lally is responsible for the Donna Smallwood Activities Center and Office on Aging. She oversees numerous offerings the facility provides to area senior residents. She is skilled at building strong relationships with community partners such as Cuyahoga County Public Library, Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland Metroparks and local schools, churches, realtors, civic groups, and business leaders.
Most recently, Lally served as assistant to Parma Heights Mayor Mike Byrne for the past 10 years. She handled administrative assistant tasks, provided graphic design, managed social media and organized special events.
Earlier in her career, she was twice elected to the Ohio House of Representatives, where she served as the minority whip and with former Parma Mayor Dean DePiero. She was also a member of multiple committees, including the Finance Committee and the Health and Family Services Committee.
Happily married for 23 years, she and her husband Francis, a lieutenant with the Cleveland Fire Department, are raising five children, ages 21 to 15.
