PARMA, Ohio - Parma’s annual observance of the National Day of Prayer will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 6611 Ridge Road, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 4.

Chaplains of the Parma Police and Fire Departments will be in attendance, as well as other city officials. Leaders of the Parma faith community have been invited and are also encouraged to pass the word along to their congregations.

Public law 105-225 requires the President to proclaim a National Day of Prayer each year on the first Thursday in May. The theme this year is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us... Forgive Us...Heal Us!”

The public is invited to join in the brief observance on Thursday.
