Parma Public Safety Forum coming to Parma Library

PARMA, Ohio - The first of several presentations of the new Parma Public Safety Forum series is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17 from 7-8 p.m. at the Parma Branch library, 6996 Powers Blvd. The forum will be held in the Large Meeting Room A.

At this meeting, members of the Parma Fire Department will be presenting useful information regarding several fire safety topics. Among the items discussed will be:

  • New programs and initiatives in the Parma Fire Department
  • Explanations and demonstrations of new fire safety equipment
  • Useful home safety guidelines

Future Parma Public Safety Forum meetings will address other safety topics of concern to Parma residents.

“I commend Safety Director Tom Weinreich as well as Fire Chief Mike Lasky and Police Chief Joe Bobak for their commitment to the safety of our residents and our city,” said Mayor Tim DeGeeter. “Prevention is paramount to heightened public safety, and information is an essential first step. I appreciate the efforts of our public safety officials to get this Safety Forum to our residents.”
